2,000 bodies wash up on the coast yesterday. Three explosions in as many days and then, this morning, BOOM-BOOM-BOOM, three of them, I don't know how far apart.
Aftershock earthquakes that are quite powerful have been going on all along, impressive from a scientific point of view, terrible for the people trying to survive this and those on-scene helping them. All with the specter of breathing in radiation.
Now, here is the most important part to remember - because governments lie constantly so people don't panic, including on the West Coast of The United States, and because anti-nuke activists are used as scientific experts on all of this as it unfolds, even on FOX News, YOU CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT ANYONE HAS TO SAY ABOUT ANY OF THIS.
They were very quick to say that Fukushima would not become the next Chernobyl. A little too quick to be believed.
Will Tokyo become the next Prypiat? Only time will tell now, but nothing looks very good or hopeful at the moment.

Situations like these are when "misleading" information given out by whoever becomes deadly. I've heard everything from were in deep trouble here in America to "eat a can of tuna" to prevent radiation poisoning, to "it's nothing to worry about at all". I'm here on the east coast, but that means noting these days. How about crops grown and meat raised on the west coast that I might eat?
I don't think we'll ever know what if any threat there will be or what we can do to prevent it. Even if we were told, I'm not sure anyone would listen.
Anthony,
Well, yeah, eat a can of tuna and everything will just be OKAY. Then someone else will kindly remind you that you will be poisoning yourself with mercury if you do so. Then another person will tell you that a minute amount of mercury in Thimerosal is totally safe to give to a newborn human being that weighs just a few pounds. MSG is great for you, too. And Aspartame and... And... 8-)
Here's a link from Ferfals (Surviving in Argentina)other Blog (Modern Survivalist) from a member who is currently living just outside of Tokyo.

I'm checking it out. I hope it is not like the Surviving in Argentina blog. I have NEVER been able to get that thing to load. It locks my computer up tighter than Tupperware every time I ever tried to check it out. Everytime I'm in a library where I can use high-speed connections, I forget about it and don't even try.
I just finished reading that thread. That's a fascinating view and as far as what he says about Alex Jones, I don't know that I would call him "as alarmist as it gets," but his bullshit discriminator has been malfunctioning for years now. A LOT of what he says eventually comes true and he has broken a lot of real stories in the past, but some of his stuff is a bit off the wall, to say the least. I don't think it's "alarmist," it's something bordering on something much worse than that, that I simply cannot come up with a descriptor for at the moment.
Don
I wonder if all the adverts he has on the Argentina has anything to do with it Locking up? I've never had a problem there myself except for the fact that whenever I click on the web addy for it at my Blog, and I'm done reading, I have to hit the back icon several times to get back to my own Blog Page.
Ah yes, the internet!
Anyway, it was interesting to read an account from someone in country who wasn't part of news gathering service. No hyperbole, no bad graphics, and no forced seriousness. Just some first hand info from someone dealing with the everyday consequences of a major event.
Everyone has always told me what a great blog it is for those very reasons. I agree! I also think it is all of the bullshit ads bogging the blogging. 8-)
